Life board games

Season 2!

Board with Life: The Metagame (The Microgame)Board with Life is a comedy web series following a group of board game geeks during their weekly game nights.

We're hoping that, with your help, we can make a second season of Board with Life a reality. We learned a lot from the first season and we're confident the second season will be funnier, higher quality, and have more of what you want, but we need you for it to happen.

If we reach our goal, there will be another five-episode season of Board with Life. With push goals, there may be even more!

Giving any amount is appreciated, but we understand if you can't monetarily donate. Tweeting about us or posting about us on Board Game Geek and Facebook is also incredibly helpful to our campaign.

BwL T-Shirt (Be sure to tell us your size S, M, L, XL or XXL)We put the fun stuff like push goals near the top, but there is a ton of information about who we are, what we do and why we need your help if you scroll farther down the page. You know... if you're into that sort of thing.

The board game community's support over the past year has been amazing. We hope that with your help, we can blow it up for our second season!

Board with Life is a comedy web series following the ins and outs of a weekly game night. Board with Life isn't just jokes about board games though, it helps normalize them in a fun way. Where other sitcoms center around a bar or diner, ours takes place around the game table.

Chris! We love games, and when you look around geek culture, there is quality narrative content out there for just about every other hobby, but board games are underserved and we've decided to change that.

But not JUST that, because Board with Life also does board game-related news, comedy sketches, and interviews. We want to make ALL of the hobby content better. All of it.

"Um, how does this even happen? I literally can't wrap my mind around how something so funny and legitimately produced exists for our small hobby." -Colby Dauch, owner & chief game designer of Plaid Hat Games

"Board with Life is a brilliant show that does such a sterling job of showing how much fun board gaming is, and there's nothing else like it out there. These guys have humor, character, gaming nous, and also my children. Yes, they have my children somewhere, so please send them money now. I mean, this is serious. I didn't even know that I had any children." - Paul Dean, nudist at Shut Up & Sit Down

Casey! You asked for it, and we listened!

I met him @ a Board Game group

by GryphonTyr

I had found on craigslist. I had just gone through a nasty breakup with a guy who was not only lying/cheating, but also stealing & selling my stuff, & I had had enough. The hard part after kicking him out was NOT letting him back in my life. I hadn't made friends here since I had moved, & I knew I'd break down & take him back if I didn't focus on myself & create a good social network. So I turned to the internet & started going to this "BYOB" Board Game Group. I made some great friends (the person running it is in my bridal party :)).
2 months later, my FH found the same group on MySpace & went for the first time. We met, hit it off, & have been together ever since. I was 26 & that was nearly 4 years ago. I had heard the trite "you'll find someone when you're not looking" crap...

What do board game pieces represent?

A board game piece represents a person who is playing the game (in a game such as Monopoly). Chess pieces are a bit different, they represent soldiers or leaders in a war being played out on the board. In Risk, pieces represent military units, such as battalions. Different games have different designs.
