Best Party Board Games for Adults

Wits and Wagers:

Wits and Wagers is arguably the most popular party board game ever. This game is fun because it combines betting with game play and trivia. It's best in groups of 3 to 7 people. Wits and Wagers comes in the standard, Family, and party editions.

Smart Ass:

I'd describe this game as chaotically fun. You basically get to yell out answers whenever you want, but since you only have one guess, you have to be careful. I'd recommend it for teens over the age of 14 while the manufacturer's recommended age is 12 plus.

Say Anything

This is from the makers of Wits and Wagers and is another one of my favorite party games. One of the things that sets it apart from other games like it is that you literally can say anything. Players answer a question given by the player whose turn it is and write down what they think the answer should be.

For example, one of the questions is, "If I could have a big anything what would it be?". After this you choose your favorite while everyone else tries to guess which one you picked. If you haven't tried it, then it's definitely worth a look.

Farkle Party Game

Here's a game that's very different from those I've mentioned above as it's a dice game rather than a card game. Like the others listed above it could be learned within 1 minute. You have to roll for your points, but if you don't roll anything, then you lose what you have.

Sometimes you need to force "fun"

by ---

In order for it to become a habit again after you have kids.
Make efforts like having adult dinner one or two nights a week after the kids are in bed, getting a babysitter every once in awhile if you feel comfortable and can afford it. If not, make your own fun at home. Have movie night with popcorn and the lights low after the kids are in bed. Go to family oriented places where you will enjoy yourself as well and where they kids may be occupied enough so that you can talk and enjoy each other as well.
Talk to your husband. You may need to take the creating of fun on your shoulders for a little bit, but if you do that and still feel a disconnect, talk to him. Maybe you could alternate an adult night each week, taking turn with the planning and making it a surprise. This is...
